My Life

Things you may or may not find interesting about me:

  • daughter of God. in love with the Lord. He is my inheritance.
  • i’m in love and married to a guy named Matthew. he’s the best husband I could ask for. my absolute best friend.
  • apparently we are supposed to give a son the middle name of Ira, being the 8th in the family. Ira doesn’t really go with Josiah. feel free to provide suggestions. you’ve got a few years though…
  • born in Texas. they call me a “seminary baby.” apparently, that happens alot to newlywed theology students and their wives.
  • lived in The South all of my life, with the exception of a two month stint in Romania. therefore, i love me some sweet tea and casseroles. ice cream is on the top of the list too.
  • i have one “little” brother who is about a head taller than me and a good 100 lbs heavier. he’s always been able to beat me up.
  • one exception to the above, i accidentally hooked him in the back with a fish hook when we were little. he claims it was no accident. it really was. although, he later got me back by giving me a black eye the day before Easter. the weapon? a hockey stick.
  • i grew up as a preacher’s daughter. i ended up not as a rebel, but a perfectionist people-pleaser. (how about that for you psycho-analysts?)
  • i went to college, graduated in 2008. ended up with a do-it-yourself major. i have yet to regret the decision to change from Middle Grades Education
  • technically, my major is called Interdisciplinary Studies: Family Life Education. many people think this means i majored in Home Ec. to set the record straight, i didn’t. it’s a social work major essentially.
  • i am the Children’s Director at Oak Leaf Church in Cartersville, GA. (ie. professional childcare worker, volunteer coordinator extraordinaire, girl who runs around upstairs holding the crying babies, the director of Fun for all things kids at Oak Leaf, and professional colorer)
  • this is probably way more than you ever wanted to know about me. that or you already know all of this and more. scary.

peace out.
