I have many things that I love about my life. The top two, however, are the Lord and my husband, Matthew. Interestingly enough, they are so closely tied, which teaches me so much about love, marriage and grace.
1) the Lord has seen me through so much in my life. He has guided and protected me through many storms. I can’t imagine living life without the knowledge that I have an Ultimate Provider, Refuge, Comforter, Creator, Love, Savior, and Friend. He is the strength of my heart and my portion forever (Psalm 73:26).
2) Matthew Ira. the Lord, in His ultimate provision, gave me this man, who has become my best friend and love. It’s so interesting how the Lord shapes marriage to mimic how we are in love with Him and how we view Him. God works through people, and Matt is a main avenue through which the Lord shows me His love, provision, comfort, and strength. Neither of us are perfect, but that is the perfect story of how Grace enters in to work with love. I could go on for such a long time on the reasons why I love Matt and the ways in which he is a great man, but it would be too long. Also, I have yet to discover all of those reasons, therefore I look forward to 50+ years next to my best friend. June 6th was a glorious day!
